PROBLEM WITH ACCESS TO INFORMATION ABOUT THERAPY
There are billions of people who don’t deal with stress and emotions well. People who suffer from depression, mood or mental disorders, who stay in toxic relationships or who are just unhappy in their lives surviving every day with no hope that something can change and that it is possible to enjoy life. When they look for support, they mostly just type ‘a therapist’ or ‘ a psychiatrist’ or ‘a coach’ with the place they live in the web search engine clicking on whatever comes up. For these people there are two common paths – taking meds to make their lives easier to bear – accepting all the side effects – and/or using ‘talk’ therapy/coaching once or twice a week for a very long time.
These people have no idea how many tools and approaches exist to help them. They don’t know that there are many more options than the one between a psychiatrist, a therapist or a coach. These people don’t know that they can pick the therapeutic and personal development methods they feel best for them. They can combine these methodes for faster results, and even switch them around when not effective or when they have doubts or feel too much discomfort in therapy.
And one more thing. These people don’t know what ‘effective’’ means – what kind of changes they should expect, how to wprk in therapy/coaching consciously using the time effectively, what professional means and what they can call ‘overuse’. (Overuse being for example, never-ending therapy with no efficiency, a toxic dependence on a professional, or even a romantic relationship there etc.).
There is no choice when there is no awareness… And there is no efficiency when there is no understanding!
MY MISSION AND THE SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM
I’m Kasia May. I was one of these people I just described. That’s why my mission is to create broad access to information about different mental support methods, the ways people can combine them, change them when needed and consciously use them to raise their efficiency and objectively measure the effects.
I am on my way to create ‘Health Self-Care Centers’ – physical places with counselors trained in giving information, checking the therapeutic process and measuring its effect.
